Overview
We’re building TiriVelo — a growing pet care marketplace and we’re looking for a Backend Engineering Intern to help build the secure, scalable, and reliable systems that power our platform and services.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APls
Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams
Build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
Work with databases and data models
Implement authentication, authorization, and secure APls
Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
Debug, test, and optimize backend functionality
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Contribute to system architecture and process improvements
What You’ll Be Working On
This isn’t a typical internship — you’ll be working on real features deployed to a live platform.
Real-world experience building a live platform
Hands-on experience with backend technologies
Exposure to system architecture and data design
Opportunity to build a portfolio of impactful work
Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams
Mentorship from the Engineering Lead and broader team
What You’ll Gain
Experience with backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, PHP, etc.)
Knowledge of RESTful APls and web services
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Understanding of authentication & authorization
Familiarity with Git and version control
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Passion for building reliable, scalable applications
